Lead from the stage, not the laptop.
Start the next song from your phone and the booth sees it too. If the bridge falls apart, tap Fade and keep the click going.

For the people who like to know exactly how the show runs. Jump to what you need.
Works with any app that accepts MIDI, such as Ableton Live, Logic Pro, MainStage and ProPresenter.
Who it’s for
Whoever runs your tracks, slides or cues, Midi CoPilot takes the laptop out of their hands and puts the show in their pocket.
Lead from the stage, not the laptop.
Start the next song from your phone and the booth sees it too. If the bridge falls apart, tap Fade and keep the click going.
Your slides, in your pocket.
Walk the stage with a big Next button. Guests join free with a QR code, and the host can send “2 minutes left”.
Run the set from the pit.
Fire every section and change patches from one screen. Rebuild tomorrow’s set at the hotel and send it to the rig.
Every cue, one list.
Sound, video and lighting cues on every device that needs them, locked so nothing changes mid-performance.
Hand them a phone, not your laptop.
Students run the show without ever being able to change it. You stay in charge of what each device can do.
Every room, from one phone.
Check on every room, fix a setting from home on Saturday night, and add a new Mac by scanning a code.
How it works
Download the app on your iPhone or iPad. Name your cues, pick their colours and sort them into folders.
Open Midi CoPilot Link and scan its QR code with your iPhone. That’s it: connected over Wi-Fi or Ethernet, and it reconnects on its own every time. Prefer a cable? Bluetooth and USB MIDI work too.
In Ableton Live, turn on MIDI Map mode, click a scene or locator, then tap a cue. Done. Your show remembers it.
Everyone, in sync
The music director fires the opener. The keys player’s iPad lights up. The tech booth sees it on the Mac. Same show, same moment, no one guessing.
Beyond the laptop
Midi CoPilot isn’t only for show software. Keyboards, synths, guitar processors and pedalboards that accept MIDI can switch presets from the same tap. One cue can call up the right sound on every instrument at once, each on its own channel.
Presenter modeBeyond the music
Your iPhone becomes the clicker you always wanted: big buttons for exactly what your presentation needs, from anywhere in the room. Bring up a guest and their phone works too, in seconds.
Make Next as big as your thumb wants. Label every button in your own words, and lock the screen so nothing gets tapped by accident.
Change the slide, start the walk-on music and cue the lights from the same button.
Pick Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Slides or ProPresenter, and the buttons build themselves: a big Next, a wide Previous you can’t miss, Black screen and more.
See “7 of 24” and what’s coming next on every screen, so nobody skips ahead. Works with Keynote, PowerPoint and ProPresenter.
Add any button you need (a keystroke, a MIDI cue or a ProPresenter action) and choose how big it is. The screen rearranges itself so everything fits.
Next and previous slide, clear the screen, trigger a slide, run a macro, show a message or start a timer, straight from ProPresenter’s own network connection.
Stage Messages
Send a message to the speaker, the band leader or every device at once: “Wrap up”, “Band loads in after this”, “Tell people to sit closer”. It appears right above their buttons, big enough to read at a glance, and shrinks to one line after ten seconds. Nothing pops up, nothing gets in the way, and every button keeps working.
Guest presenters are free
The speaker, the guest and the host each control the same presentation from their own phone. Every screen shows the same slide, and the host can step in at any moment.
Their own phone, their own pace. No more “next slide, please”.
Downloads the free app, scans your presenter-only QR code and they’re in. No account, no purchase, no setup, and no way to trigger a song by accident.
Runs the show, sees who’s connected, and can take control back or remove a guest in one tap.
Guest presenters are free when you invite them from a Pro or Teams Link. They join on the venue’s Wi-Fi or by cable, can press their buttons, and can never edit or reset your show. Slide control runs through Midi CoPilot Link on the presenting Mac.
The safety net
It happens to every band. When a song comes apart, tap FADE and the tracks glide out smoothly while the click keeps counting in everyone’s ears. The moment the band finds its place, tap FADE again and the music rises right back in. The audience never knows.
Faders that follow your session. Move a volume in Ableton and the fader on every iPad moves with it. Put faders into fade groups and one button brings a whole section in or out together, up to three groups at once.
LiveDrop to Link
Stop driving to the venue to change one cue. Build the show on your couch, in a hotel or on the train, tap Send, and it lands on the stage Mac in seconds. Across town, across the country, across the world.
No VPN. No port forwarding. No IT department.
Rework tomorrow’s set from the hotel. It’s on the rig before load-in.
Build shows for artists and rooms you’ll never stand in. Deliver them with one tap.
Look after every room from one desk. Each Link has its own code.
Setlist changed on the drive home? Fix it from the passenger seat.
The Mac asks before accepting a new sender, and a show never loads mid-performance unless someone taps Load.
Send it now and it arrives the moment the Link comes online, up to a week later.
Every delivery is signed by a genuine Midi CoPilot app. Shows are deleted from our server as soon as they arrive.
Included with Teams, and free to try for 14 days. Any show can also be shared as a file by Messages, AirDrop or email.
Get the appTeamsFor the person in charge
The tech director, the pastor, the venue manager: whoever’s in charge sees every Mac and every device, and can change them from the phone in their pocket. In the building, or from anywhere.
One Owner QR code. No logins to share. No laptop required.
Which Macs are online, which devices are connected, what MIDI went out last and which slide is up, for every Link in your organisation.
Lock a Link, turn on ProPresenter, make someone priority 1, block a device or load Sunday’s show on every screen, from home or from the road.
While cues are going out, changes sent from outside the building wait on the Mac for someone to tap Allow. Nobody gets surprised mid-song.
New or replacement Mac? Show a code on it, scan it with your phone, done. It joins your organisation and your other Macs. Nothing to copy, nothing to type.
One click on any Mac locks that phone out of every Link at once. Every other Mac switches by itself, even ones that were switched off.
Back up a Link to one password-protected file. Restore it on a new Mac and every phone and iPad reconnects as if nothing happened.
Everything sent through the internet is sealed with your organisation’s key: our server passes it along but can’t read it or change it.
The free companion that receives your cues and hands them to your music software. It lives in the menu bar, reconnects on its own, and never steals focus mid-show.
For the Mac Link, your iPhone or iPad and Mac need the same Wi-Fi network, or a cable: a USB-C Ethernet adapter works exactly the same. On its own, the app can also send straight to your computer over Bluetooth or USB MIDI.
Any app that accepts MIDI, such as Ableton Live, Logic Pro, MainStage and ProPresenter. In Ableton, you map cues the usual way with MIDI Map mode.
A clear banner tells you straight away, and the app reconnects on its own as soon as it can, usually within a second or two. Nothing already playing is interrupted.
Yes. With Teams, every iPhone and iPad in your organisation joins the same show, with no extra purchase. Edits sync to everyone, and you choose who can change the show and who can only fire cues.
Any Mac with macOS 13 Ventura or later, Apple silicon or Intel.
No. Everything on stage runs on the venue’s own Wi-Fi, or a cable, so a dropped internet connection never stops a show. The internet only adds the extras: Drop to Link and managing your Links from anywhere.
Not unless you let them. You approve every new device, can lock the Link to new ones, choose which device can edit, and invite guests as presenter-only: they get Next and Previous, and nothing else.
If it was an Owner phone, change the Owner key on any Mac. That phone is locked out of every Link at once, and your other Macs switch to the new key on their own. Any other device can be removed or blocked from the Link window.
Restore your Link backup on another Mac: devices, show, presets and settings come back, and every phone and iPad reconnects by itself. Without a backup, an Owner can add the new Mac by scanning a code.
Pro is a one-time $9.99. Without it, the app becomes a free guest presenter: anyone invited by a Pro or Teams Link can still run the slides. Devices in a Teams organisation are unlocked automatically, and nothing ever stops in the middle of a show.
Yes. Teams is billed yearly on midicopilot.com, by card or on an invoice for churches, bands, venues, schools and companies. Get in touch for a quote.
