Terms of Use
Last updated October 11, 2026
Agreement
By downloading or using Midi CoPilot (the iPhone and iPad app) or Midi CoPilot Link (the Mac app), together "the Software", you agree to these terms. If you get the app from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Software for your own shows, rehearsals and productions, within the limits of the plan you have (Free, Basic, Pro or Teams).
What you may not do
- Copy, sell, rent or redistribute the Software, or share licence keys outside the organisation that bought them.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the Software, or build software that pretends to be Midi CoPilot to connect to a Link.
- Get around licence checks, device limits or other protections.
- Use the Software, or any remote feature, to break the law or to interfere with other people's devices.
Plans, subscriptions and refunds
Prices are shown in the App Store and on midicopilot.com. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Purchases made in the app are billed and refunded by Apple under Apple's terms; manage them in your Apple Account settings. Licences bought on midicopilot.com are billed by our store provider; contact us about refunds.
If a subscription ends, the Software keeps your shows and settings. Features your plan no longer includes stop being available, and Midi CoPilot Link never disconnects devices in the middle of a session because of a licence change.
Live performance
Midi CoPilot is built to be reliable on stage, but networks, cables, computers and other software can fail. Test your setup before every performance and keep a backup plan. You are responsible for how you use the Software in your shows.
Other software and equipment
The Software sends MIDI and keystrokes to other software and equipment, such as Ableton Live, Logic Pro, MainStage or ProPresenter. Those products belong to their owners, are not made or supported by us, and their names are used only to describe compatibility.
Ownership
The Software, the Midi CoPilot name, logo and designs are owned by Ryan Clark and protected by copyright and trademark law. Your shows and presets belong to you.
No warranty
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data or a disrupted performance. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Software in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows when. If you break these terms, your licence ends and you must stop using the Software.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
